Iceberg Houseboat Hides Its Bulk Below The Waves
Architect Daniel Andersson has created a houseboat inspired by icebergs, one that sits predominantly below the waves with only its rooftop deck exposed to the sun. From the terrace, a staircase spirals down to a 60-square-meter living space that contains a living room, head, galley, dining room and bedroom. A central atrium provides natural light, and windows below the waterline provide a view of the scenery. There’s even a sauna next to the bathroom, which opens out onto the staircase so that you can run straight out and into the water.

Like Going Back In Time
Lake Raystown Resort is like no other houseboat destination
To refer to Raystown Lake in central Pennsylvania as one of our country’s best-kept secrets would be an understatement. It’s an old cliché that gets used more often than it really should when attempting to describe a beautiful area that few people seem to know about. But honestly, there might not be a better way to describe this true “get back to nature” kind of a place, than to call it a hidden gem.
Lending Your Houseboat
Know the risks before you loan
Houseboats are a wonderful way to enjoy being out on the water no matter what the size or amenities, which is why they are a favorite choice for people to ask to borrow. Allowing someone else at the helm in the owner’s absence is not a decision to be made lightly as there may be costly consequences.
All The Way From Ukraine
A Ukraine company visits On Water Expo
The first On Water Houseboat Expo in 2009 became a Mecca for those wanting to admire the latest models of houseboats, or to simply just shake hands with the brains behind their favorite builders. It also became a place to find business partners, or at least it did for two Ukraine businessmen.
On Water Expo This Weekend
Houseboat Magazine Returns to Cumberland
Following the wild success of the first-ever On Water Houseboat Expo in 2009, Houseboat magazine is doing it all again. Head on over to State Dock on beautiful Lake Cumberland August 27-29 to enjoy everything the houseboating lifestyle has to offer! “This is a great opportunity for attendees to experience houseboating as it is,” Greg Larsen, Expo producer, said.
